Elliott's Echo: A Dream That Changed Everything

There is no greater love than to lay down one's life for one's friends. -John 15:13 (NLT)

I was woken up in the middle of the night from a dream

...as I often am.

This night...

I felt something different.

Something greater than I had ever felt before calling me to help a fellow Marine.

I could see his face as vividly as I had seen it so many times before.

..even though it had been decades.

It was Elliott!

I served with GySgt Terry J. Elliott in 1st Battalion 8th Marines, as a Machine gunner.

When I started my day the next morning,

I could not stop feeling like something was pushing me to help my brother.

Later that day I went golfing at a local course in Palm City, Florida.

Golf has become a place of solace for me.

After many combat tours and the lightning strike which left me

Hard of hearing and landed me in the hospital many times.

It hit me...

I will have a tournament for his family.

I decided to form a non-profit and make it happen.

We raised money for Elliott’s widow Loretta and Son Preston.

Since that time, I have expanded my mission.

WeDoGood raises money to help:

-Veterans

-Healthcare Heroes

-First Responders

-and the single parents that are left all too often alone after they lose a loved one.

Money raised goes directly to the families of the lost Heroes.

We then follow the families throughout the children’s life until they are eighteen.

We send cards and presents at Birthdays Christmas and Easter.

We also help with the funding of Art, Vocational and Athletic pursuits.

Our non-profit organization is run by a family with a long history of military service.

Being a disabled veteran myself, this is a personal experience.

We have an intimate understanding of the struggles all veterans go through throughout their lives.

Ultimately, we know the best ways to help a veteran in need because we have been veterans in need.

You can trust that we will use your donation effectively since we can accurately assess the needs of the people in need.

It is easy for a veteran to fall through the cracks of the systems set up to help them;

We know where those cracks are and how to save anyone who is at risk of falling into them.
